About

Omniyon

Initial Situation

A product by YachtCloud.

From browsing your favorite movies in your home cinema to setting the Sky Lounge to your ideal temperature… a masterpiece that exceeds all expectations, but it would still only be an innovative idea if YachtCloud hadn't come to us :)

Our Solution

This is our biggest, most complex client project by far. It's an exciting, ongoing adventure where we push the limits of what's possible in the luxury tech segment.
We support our client in every part of the product's lifecycle, including R&D.

Technological Approach

Here are some of the highlights of our previous work  and current work:

  • Development of a Linux based video player operating system
  • Porting the video player to the Android platform
  • Designing and Implementing the backend of MediaMatch
  • Implementing a sophisticated scraper system for media
  • Simplifying and modernizing various subsystems
  • Creating automatic installations for client systems
  • Setting up CI workflows in GitLab
  • etc. etc.

The tech stack for this project is as diverse as can be, including C/C++, Python, Bash, Node.js, Docker, Java, Swift and much more.

Future Outlook

Omniyon will continue to be a very complex but great product to develop. New feature requests are coming in all the time, so we think the product will remain very popular in the future - perhaps in large part because of our solid, flexible and reliable system design.
