ML/AI Engineer

As an ML/AI Engineer at SEADEV Studios, you drive Habicht AI, our sovereign AI platform, from model deployment all the way to production.
What you bring
- Completed degree in IT or comparable hands-on experience
- At least 2 years of experience with machine learning or LLM-based systems
- Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch or comparable frameworks
- Hands-on experience with LLM serving (e.g. vLLM, Ollama) or RAG pipelines
- Good communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary work
- Very good English skills, German is a plus
What impresses us
- Experience self-hosting open-weight models on your own GPU infrastructure
- Knowledge of fine-tuning, LoRA, or quantization
- Experience with MLOps, Kubernetes, and GPU scheduling
- Experience with vector databases such as Qdrant or pgvector
- Experience with agent frameworks and the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Knowledge of LLM observability, for example with OpenTelemetry
- Understanding of GDPR and EU AI Act requirements in an AI context
Your working area
- Advancing our AI platform Habicht AI
- Deploying and operating open-weight models on our EU infrastructure
- Building RAG and agent pipelines for client projects
- Evaluating new models and benchmarking quality, cost, and latency
- Performance and cost optimization of inference workloads
- Implementing compliance requirements from GDPR and the EU AI Act
- Close collaboration with development, sales, and client projects
