The Situation
E-mobility is growing - and with it the challenges at public charging stations. You park at a charger, start charging, go shopping. When you return: an annoyed driver waiting because your car has been blocking the station for 20 minutes, fully charged. Or worse: you're the one waiting and have no way to contact the other driver.
The Solution
Chargebuddy is the elegant solution to the charging station communication problem. Every user gets a personal QR code that they place behind their windshield. Other drivers can scan and send a message - without app installation, without data exchange. Communication happens via a secure web interface. Conversations are automatically deleted after the session - full privacy protection.
The Approach
Chargebuddy was developed with Flutter and Firebase. Minimalist, fast, reliable. The focus was on frictionless user experience - contact must be possible in under 5 seconds. This project was realized in cooperation with Aaron Pieler and Michael Kapfer.
